07.10.09 Nouvelle Vague in “Zal Ozhidaniya” club

Nouvelle Vague are those particular French that rearranged old post-punk and new-wave hits with a rare elegance of bossa-nova and lounge a couple years ago.

The core of this remarkable group consists of two multi-instrumentalist musicians Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. As an aide-de-camp they took eight girls and one Caribbean dreamboat with sensual voices. Nouvelle Vague is the fusion between bossanova and new-wave. Guys just take their favourite tracks, disclose them to the core and then “dress them up” in their own way.

Nouvelle Vague arrange a plenary performance on stage: the weapon of their beautiful ladies is not only voice, but also the plastic. Everything’s set to be in use: from the tips of the fingers to the points of hair, the songs are not being sung, they are, as if to say, being painted. This is the performance in a literal sense.
