Stereoleto Winter Session 2008 |
 On the 23rd of February with the support of the French premium beer Kronenbourg 1664 the first winter event within the STEREOLETO festival was carried out. Towards the 8 p.m. Manege Kadetskogo korpusa was full with musical sybarites, expecting the show of Red Snapper, the legendary English collective. Early in the guests of the event took the opportunity to listen tot the new, but already popular St. Petersburg band with continually changing number of participants — Uniquetunes. Right after them already warmed up public got another forcefull heat stroke coming from the exhilarating experimentalists in music Pepe Deluxe. It’s noteworthy that towards the midst of their performance the major part of the audience was dancing.
Everything that would remind about the cold season melted away, the emotions of the crowd were getting toasty… Pepe Deluxe managed all at once to mix well with the audience and draw attention to the special video sequence, operated by the personal vj of the group. And in the very middle of this winter evening the iconic Red Snapper group appeared! It’s very difficult to transmit all of the emotions of such concert. It seemed that they were not apart for five years, it was a splendid performance and many thought to hear samples, but there wasn’t a single one! It was that celebrated live show of Red Snapper in its quintessence. The music, up-beat by listened “into wholes” albums, the new tracks, sounded properly original, the drive given way to everyone around and the inimitable sound – all that was yet more proof that their play is always on top and burning!
