Page 1 of 3  For the first time in its history Light Music presented the audience with a theatrical project. The spirit of new drama and improvisation took place on the stage of Molodejniy theatre during two days. The plays “Oxygen” and “Being #2”, which were presented for the audience’s judgment by one of the most significant theater directors, Ivan Viripaev, can be defined as theater of absurdity and provocation, and that such provocation is a delicate and ambiguous matter which cannot be understood or accepted by everybody. It is positive energy which demands the absolute involvement of the audience which gives modern theater its originality. This type of theater can change not only person’s perspective, but also his or her whole life. Everything that the actors spoke so passionately about could have come as a revelation for many people, proof of life experience for another or perhaps a total banality for others. The only evident facts were that nobody remained indifferent to the what they saw, and there were no free places left. The authors claimed that the last performance of “Oxygen” took place in Saint-Petersburg on purpose because it was also first shown with a great success in this city. Thus, “Oxygen” accomplished a symbolic circle during which its success traveled along with it.
