Page 1 of 3 At the age of 16 Ashley Slater moved from The USA to Britain. For six years he had been playing trombone in a military orchestra before becoming a session musician in different European jazz projects. Having fallen in love with funk, Ashley put together his first band Microgroove where he successfully established himself as a front man and a singer. Next came Freak Power project where Ashley was collaborating with Norman Cook before his Fatboy Slim period. When Freak Power had finally split up Ashley worked for a while as a session musician and a video director, before releasing his solo effort 'Big Lounge'. Following Ashley's masterplan to the dot, his jazzy funk music can both get an easy grip on the music lover's attention and serve as nice background music for different people eating, drinking and talking as it was in FC Lounge club.
