STEREOLETO2004: 24.07.2004 International Pony (Germany) @ К-2

ImageVirtuoso remixers DJ Koze, Cosmic DJ and Erobique aka International Pony have made their name by taking works of Tocotronic, legendary French house master Bob Sinclair and Deejay Punkrock to yet new heights. Their music is a dangerously explosive mix of R&B, house, funk and pop with a touch of sheer madness. A techno-cabaret trio's performance included tie-sporting pony gentlemen dancing, singing, playing the percussion and generally having a hell of a good time. The audience was dancing till dawn and an end to this amazing party was put by the security's inevitable decision to cut the electricity off since the crowd refused to leave the venue.

ImageDon Carlos has been spinning vinyl since late seventies and is now regarded as a deep house veteran. He's been DJ-ing at best European and American clubs and has also worked as a producer for Irma Records. His 'Milan-Chicago' single and 'Music In My Mind' and 'Caf? De Paris' albums proved him to be a talented solo recording artist.
Sax-player Andy Funk has traveled all over the world taking part in various musical, theatre and TV projects and has had a reasonably big collection of his work pressed to vinyl. Being an open-minded kind of artist he's performed with many a DJ and mastered a variety of styles from classical to modern jazz and pop music. 17.07.2004 David Byrne feat. Tosca Strings (USA) @ Manege Kadetskogo Korpusa

Over the years he has released a number of solo records, won an Oscar for the soundtrack to Bertolucci's historical epic 'Last Emperor', directed films himself and run his own world music label Luaka Bop. Nowadays Byrne's music incorporates mesmerizing tunes often entirely performed on strings and brass and introspective lyrics. The performance in Saint-Petersburg was delayed due to sound equipment truck being withheld at the Russian-Finnish border. When the show finally kicked off albeit a couple of hours late, the audience at once realized that it had been worth waiting for since it turned out to be a true feast of energetic and professional musicianship.

ImageHouse music pioneers, creators of ambient house, who have remixed the likes of Erasure, Depeche Mode and Yello, were propelled to the stardom in the beginning of the nineties and have stayed there ever since. For the decade ORB records defined the state of electronic dance music in Britain, combining chart success with lower-key but crucially important John Peel sessions on BBC Radio One. Astonishing vocal samples with flex dub and techno grooves supported by a colorful video-mix made their Stereoleto 2004 appearance a genuinely special event and left the festival goers astounded with band's ability and devotion to drive audiences mad.
